Organization Structure
How We Operate...
With the support of our valued members and volunteers our core objective is to assist Sri Lankans residing in the UAE in their time of need, regardless of their status or backgrounds. Formation of SLWA in 2012 was a historic first, being the only registered voluntary welfare organization in UAE to address the grievances of thousands of Sri Lankan expatriates working in the U.A.E.
To support our community, several subcommittees consisting of more than 50 volunteers have been formed and are working together to make a positive difference. These activities are being governed by the SAHANA Board of Directors which includes two UAE nationals. Guidelines and directives for our operations are provided by the Dubai Community Development Authority (CDA).
